Let's Carve Out Some Time for Fun: Fall Festivities in Arizona

While temperatures are still high here in the Valley, fall is right around the corner! A little heat won't stop us from enjoying this festive season. Looking for activities to do this fall? Check out my list of local Arizona fall activities that will be sure to get you in the pumpkin spice spirit!

1. Pumpkin Patches

One of my favorite activities during the fall season is visiting a local pumpkin patch. Arizona has plenty to choose from. Some of the best are Tolmachoff Farms, Schnepf Farms, MacDonald's Ranch, and Mother Nature's Farm. While pumpkin carving is a popular activity the whole family can enjoy, there are other unique ways to revamp a pumpkin! Fun Fact: My husband and I found our wedding centerpiece pumpkin (that he carved himself) at Mother Nature's Farm near Camden Pecos Ranch! Check it out for some inspiration this season.

2. Arizona State Fair

This annual fair is held every year from the end of September through the end of October and is only a short 10-minute drive from Camden Copper Square. With plenty of activities, it is hard to choose where to start. There are games, rides, live music, a circus, and much more! The fun food combinations are what I always like to tackle first because who doesn't love some classic fried fair food? If you feel extra creative, you can even try to recreate these fair foods in your very own Camden kitchen!

3. Fear Farm

If you are seeking a thrill, check out this haunted corn maze! It also has additional attractions for those wanting an extra scare. With elaborate props and costumes, it is not for the faint of heart. If you are like me and hate being scared, you can take baby steps and curl up to a scary movie at home in your Camden living room. An apartment essential for your home this fall would be to add a festive throw blanket that doubles as a safety blanket to cling onto during scary movies.

4. Autumn Leaves

Changing seasons is not a huge deal for some people as it happens naturally. Here in Arizona, we need to travel a bit to see the fall colors and the seasons change. Flagstaff, Arizona, is my favorite place to explore the outdoors and watch nature work its magic. If you hike my favorite trail, Inner Basin, in October, the aspen trees turn yellow before their leaves fall, and it looks straight out of a fairytale. While you visit Flagstaff, there are other fun touristy things to do that you should check out!

Whether you live in Arizona or not, there is always something to look forward to during the fall season. Make sure to check out your local hotspots for all the fun fall activities! If you are planning to move this fall season, make sure to check out Camden for an unbe-leaf-able new home!
